I took this photo 4 years ago in Chicago. My interpretation is that of a man laying back in position of surrender and prayer. I deeply connected with this tree. It was an emotional momentary experience. It really helped jumpstart my art career. Later on as I was working on a painting I began to see this image. It was an amazing and magical moment. I titled this painting, Perseverance.
